Nickel Sulphamate Solution (also written Nickel Sulfamate) is the electrolyte of choice for precision electroforming. It produces low internal stress, high ductility nickel deposits that are critical for applications requiring dimensional accuracy and deposit integrity.

Common uses include hologram shim manufacturing, banknote and security printing cylinders, SIM card tooling, rotary screen electroforming, and precision mould making. Shriji Chemicals® has manufactured Nickel Sulphamate Solution since 1982 and holds approximately 90% market share in India.
There is no chemical difference. Nickel Sulphamate (British/Indian spelling) and Nickel Sulfamate (American spelling) refer to the same compound — Ni(SO₃NH₂)₂. Both names appear in technical literature and buyer searches. Shriji Chemicals® supplies the same high-purity product regardless of which spelling you use.
Cobalt Sulphamate is added to Nickel Sulphamate baths to increase deposit hardness through nickel-cobalt electrodeposition. It raises Vickers hardness to the 200–500 HV range, improves levelling and brightness, and reduces grain size for more uniform deposits.

It is the preferred additive for security printing cylinders, hologram tooling, and any precision electroforming application where hardness and tool life are critical. Cobalt concentration is typically kept between 0.5–5 g/L depending on the target hardness.
Nickel Carbonate is the preferred pH corrector for Nickel Sulphamate baths because it reacts with Sulfamic Acid to raise pH without introducing any chloride contamination. Chloride ions can cause stress, pitting, and deposit quality issues in sulphamate systems.

Alternatives like Nickel Hydroxide or Nickel Oxide are sometimes used but Nickel Carbonate dissolves cleanly and integrates into the bath chemistry without side reactions, making it ideal for all-sulphamate electroforming systems.
Shriji Chemicals® supplies a complete range of electroforming chemicals:

Nickel Sulphamate Solution, Cobalt Sulphamate, Nickel Carbonate, Boric Acid, Sulfamic Acid, Nickel Sulphate, Hardener 99, Sulphate Reducer, Carbon, Cobalt Carbonate, and Nickel Pellets (anode grade).
