Hardener 99 — Electroforming Deposit Hardness Additive
Also known as: Electroforming Bath Hardener
Overview
Hardener 99 — Product Overview
Hardener 99 is a proprietary Shriji Chemicals® electroforming bath additive that significantly increases nickel deposit hardness without the need to add cobalt. It is critical for die and mould electroforming applications where maximum tool life, wear resistance, and dimensional stability are required. Hardener 99 is used in combination with Nickel Sulphamate Solution baths and is available exclusively through Shriji Chemicals®.
Applications
Where Hardener 99 is Used
Die & Mould Electroforming
Increases tool hardness for longer production runs and better wear resistance.
Industrial Electroforming
Where maximum deposit hardness is required without nickel-cobalt co-deposition.
Precision Tooling
Applications requiring high hardness and dimensional accuracy.
FAQ
Common Questions about Hardener 99
How does Hardener 99 differ from Cobalt Sulphamate for hardening?
Cobalt Sulphamate works through nickel-cobalt co-deposition. Hardener 99 is a different mechanism and can be used independently or in combination with Cobalt Sulphamate for maximum hardness.
Does Hardener 99 affect deposit ductility?
At recommended dosages, Hardener 99 increases hardness while maintaining acceptable ductility for tooling applications. Contact us for dosage guidance specific to your process.
Is Hardener 99 available exclusively through Shriji Chemicals?
Yes — Hardener 99 is a proprietary Shriji Chemicals® formulation.
