Overview

Nickel Pellets — Product Overview

Nickel Pellets (also known as nickel S-rounds or anode pellets) are used in titanium anode baskets in electroforming tanks to continuously replenish nickel ions consumed during deposition. Shriji Chemicals® supplies anode-grade virgin nickel pellets of consistent purity — ensuring clean, stress-free deposits and minimal bath contamination over extended production runs.

Applications

Where Nickel Pellets is Used

Nickel Sulphamate Electroforming

Loaded into titanium anode baskets to replenish nickel ions during continuous electroforming production.

Nickel-Cobalt Electroforming

Used alongside Cobalt Sulphamate for controlled nickel-cobalt deposition.

Electroplating

Suitable for decorative and functional nickel plating anode baskets.

FAQ

Common Questions about Nickel Pellets

Why use pellets instead of rolled nickel anodes?

Pellets in titanium baskets are easier to replenish, provide a larger and more consistent anode surface area, and dissolve more uniformly — especially important in Nickel Sulphamate baths where anode efficiency is critical.

Do nickel pellets contaminate the Nickel Sulphamate bath?

High-purity anode-grade pellets have minimal impurities. Lower-grade scrap nickel can introduce iron and sulphur contamination — always use anode-grade material.

How much nickel do I consume per amp-hour?

Approximately 1.095 g/Ah of nickel is deposited (Faraday's law). Your anode consumption rate equals your cathode deposition rate for a 100% efficient bath.
